GO INTO ANY RETAIL STORE AND FIND A BOX SIMILAR TO WHAT YOU MIGHT ENVISION, AND THE MANUFACTURER OF THE PACKAGING WILL HAVE THEIR NAME AND ADDRESS SOMEWHERE ON THE BOX.

Contact the offices for the detergent and soap companies. I would try the small ones, the entrepreneurs, first. They have less levels to get through, and may jump on a chance to partner up with you on a design which may help them get their product off the ground.
Go to your healthy food markets, your flea markets, and the internet to look for struggling new brands. Get entrepreneur and trade magazines to advertise your services. Get business cards printed. Get a web site. Create a portfolio which you can take to marketing and ad agencies, or straight to the manufacturers.
Do you have a book like the Artists Market, which has listings of publications or groups looking for artists' work?

I make extra funds with image layout than I did with representation, yet I enjoyed the two very plenty. additionally, the financial area of it, I would desire to look on the reality it is been countless years considering the fact that I worked as an illustrator professionally, so their income has very probably replaced, and that i can't as particularly make the assessment. the two are/have been very profitable jobs, with infinite possibilities. Now, as a image clothier, I actual have the perfect of the two worlds. I artwork all day in PhotoShop, Illustrator, Quark, & Dreamweaver... then as quickly as I get abode, the paints, pencils & pens (the two/or... or all!) come out to play.

Start with you local office supply store, you can for starters design and make your own labels and/ or print them yourself. Or you can have the office supply store print them for you. You then can take the time and put the labels on the boxes your self. Or you can check with your local print shop and ask for them to print up what you want on a box...they have the ability and the resource to bigger printing companies at a good rate that can be passed down to you for starters.

Egads, a printer will charge you both arms and a leg to print just one box... you only want a mock-up, don't you?
So get your design printed on a "wrapper" for the existing box, in 2 pieces if necessary. Either on your computer or at a copy shop, then glue it on with a spray adhesive.
