Me and my new boyfriend just hooked up a couple days ago, and one of my really good friends told me that he is the player type and he is always trying to talk and hook up with everyone. Should i ask him if everything that i heard is true or not?

You should take time to think about a few things. 1. who is the one who told you this information? Is this person a reliable source? 2. How was your boyfriend when he met you? Was he a nice guy or was he sneaky? 3. How long have you known this guy? Do you have a reason to trust him?
I think that you should take time to get to know him. He could have been a player before he met you, but maybe he's ready to settle down and have a girlfriend. Just keep your eyes open.
If you do decide to talk to him about it, don't be accusatory. Don't say "Are you a player." Instead say " I heard that you had several girlfriends at once in the past, is that true?"
The only problem is, is that if he is a player, he will lie to you. Just use your best judgment.

i think 'BEFORE' is the word here. he could be all of those rumors before. but what if he decides to change because of you? then he wouldn't be all those anymore right?
also it's unfair for your bf if you would believe or think about all those rumors about him just because your good friend said so. give the relationship time. besides, if he is indeed the 'player' type that you friend said before, i don't think he will admit to being one if you confront him, right?

It probably wouldn't do any good. He'd just deny it, most likely. If you were in his shoes, would you admit to talking to your man's best friend and trying to hook up with him if you had a player mentality? All you can do is watch and observe him and his behaviors.

Just because a friend tells you things doesn't mean that it has some truth how long did you know him before you got up with him anyways? And no man is gonna tell you the straight up truth about things like that, Ask God to show you if this guy is this one pray on it and give it time ...Good luck to you and your relationship

Time will only tell if you are that worried just talk to him about these rumors you cant believe everything some one tells you.

IF he really was the playing type - do you think he'd admit it? I would consider the source of the info...and if he sticks around and doesn't seem to have other obligations all the time (i.e. he'll hook up with you and then he's nowhere to be found if he's not around) then he's probably being loyal.

hmm play this one out for about the next two weeks here hons dont confront him why?? if he is playing around and who ever he was or is besides you now he will just tellthem either its over with if he cares about you at al in your life our solution?? i would sit diowne with him very quiet like smile take his hand and loook at him straight in the eye and say look iam staking my future on you while you are holding his hand and say look i dont care who you have ben with and ask him are you the one?? get a straght anwser ask him if he means it if he says yes say look, if you are tell them too hit the highways he yours- dont bring up the other bimbos!!

No point confronting him.
Even if you do, he'll lie and you'll believe him. You'll just end up losing a good friend.
Why don't you find out who he dated before and ask them instead?
