It's for a club at my school

One time when my church was collecting money for something to do with babies, they handed out baby bottles that people were supposed to fill with change and then bring back. They did this for a while - 6 months - and I must have turned in 5 or 10 of those bottles!

If you had some type of change container that was relevent to your particular club you could do this.

Or there is always:

1) Car wash
2) Have people donate used goods to be sold at a "garage sale" or on E-bay.
3) Bake sale - have people donate baked goods to be sold during a public event - football game, whatever.
4) Raffle - Have local merchants donate something cool (iPod, gift certificates, etc). Sell raffle tickets - with the merchants ads on them.
5) Food booth (cotton candy, sno cones, bounce house) at a public event.

Good luck!

I just posted this idea for someone else but I think it sounds pretty fun! Sell Entertainment Books & combine it w/ an activity that would be fun - & help raise extra cash. I've seen groups raise thousands of dollars w/ the Entertainment Book.

1) Have teachers compete to see how many books they can carry from one side of the school to the other side of the school w/o dropping any in the given time period between classes. You could even make them go to a locker (without running of course) to get them! Give them a little taste of what students go through every day.

2) Do the same thing as above but through a couple of students in the mix - see if students can carry a combined total more than teachers.

3) Have an entertainment book scavenger hunt. Again, pit teachers against students in groups & put them on a scavenger hunt in the neighborhood to find items at locations found in the entertainment book. Have participants pay a fee to participate for extra cash.

We did a perfect picture contest.
Entrants had to enter a picture at the cost of $1 each, we displayed them on our bulletin board. Winners were given Walmart gift certificates (that Walmart donated to our school!)

Students/teachers/parents would vote on their favorite picture by attaching a $1 bill to the corresponding number of the picture.

We set up a jar in each classroom, one in the teachers lounge and one in the office.

We made over $500 this year, and plan to make it bigger and better this year!

Here's a Free Fund Raising Program

http://www.clubshop.com/cgi-bin/rd/10,,refid=15/affiliates.xml

Your organization refers people to the ClubShop Online Mall, these people earn cash back rebates for purchases made in the Mall & we donate a percentage of each purchase back to your organization.

We did a murder mystery dinner show at a catering hall last year. We made a great deal of money and everyone loved it. This year we are doing An irish italian wedding. Hopefully it will be as succesful.

Hold a Breakfast with Santa, naturally charge admission and make it good, get area businesses to donate and include a chinese auction. You could hold a theme tray. It depends how much money you need to make. I once raised $6,400 using various small fund raisers.

Collect a certain coin and give it to your local food bank.
Like "Dime for Dinners". You'd be amazed at how little money it takes to feed a lot of people who have no food.
