I have a small image that I want to make into my background layout for myspace.com but everytime I try to resize the pic it distorts it and makes it all blurry. So how do people take the regular sized pictures of famous people and make them into crystal clear backgrounds for web pages?

If the picture is small and/or low resolution to begin with, then you are pretty limited on what you can do with it and the size you can make it. You have to start with a good quality, high resolution picture to begin with, then you can do a lot with it. Also, never work with jpg's ... format them into a bmp or psd while you are working on them, because with jpgs, with every save and change, you will lose more quality.

all depends on the pixel count ...if they are not big enough to make them into wall papers than you have been downloading bitmaps
