Windows XP Home was designed for home use, and not quite for networking - hence you'll not find the usual networking features that you would in XP Pro.

Nevertheless, you could try using the free LogMeIn software, which works better than Windows Remote Desktop, and much faster performance. Logmein connects using 256 encrytion as well.

Go to www.logmein.com and click on the green "Get LogMeIn Free Click Here" button to create an account.

You'll need to install a 3mb software on the computers that you want to remotely access.

Highly Recommended for remote access.

Right Click My Computer, click on Properties. Remote Tab. Allow users to connect remotely to this computer. I have pro but I think home is the same.

Yes, you can't do it in Home Edition. Windows XP Pro has much more other features which are not available in Home Edition...
