Need help very soon, what steps do I use to find y in this formula XY=X+Y?

xy=x+y
xy-y=x
y(x-1)=x
y=x/(x-1)

For XY to equal X+Y then both must be 2

xy = x + y
xy – y= x
y (x – 1) = x
y= __x___
x – 1

First, subtract y from both sides.

xy - y = x

Factor out the y.

y(x-1) = x

Divide by (x-1)

y = x/(x-1)
