The heart....in the bible somewhere it was talkin about when you go to heaven everything bad is wiped out and you only remember the good. Anyways....theres only happiness in heaven and everything else on earth in life is obsolete. Nothing about life matters in heaven, only everlasting life.

So I could have a healthy heart with an Alsheimer brain here and enjoy eternal life in the Lord's kingdom with a good brain - that's my choice? What about God's rewards in this life and the next? Can't I have both? I am a bit selfish, you know.

Well, I have a working heart and my memory is such that I have sticky notes on everything including the children. Not much of a choice for me.

I don't believe in heaven. I believe that the only life we get is right here right now. So, I also believe that we should make the most of our lives. Fill it with the best experiences we can, and remember them. You'd lose all of that if you lost your mind. I don't care if I'm wearing a colostomy bag when I'm old, as long as I have my mind.

I don't have a good memory already and it's working out just fine for me. I'd like to live as long as I can with whatever else I can maintain.

I'd rather live longer, helping more people, and thus, get more rewards in heaven, then have a better memory, and brag about my un-wise choices in life.

i would prefer the brain. whats the point of living for a long time if you aren't going to remember the important things like friends and family? And if you lived for a very long time chances are your friends would forget you!

For me: I'll stick to the second one.
But I know that if somebody asked me when my brother was dying the same question I would have chose to keep him by the first chioce. I know it is a selfish desision but what if he recovers? A miracle! I miss him a lot :(

Hard question to answer. But I think I would rather have my sense and die peacefully at an earlier age. I was sick last year, hurt my back and had to have back surgry, and let me tell you I suffered for months before my surgery and I wished I was dead for months and months.
