You need not fear. Even if your tenants smoked the most incredible quantity of cannabis in your home, it would not leave any residual traces significant enough to impact future occupants. Cannabis, itself, is not what could impact your home insurance; the illegality of cannabis might. You might want to learn more about your policy before you tell your insurance agent what your tenants have been doing. It is up to you whether you evict your tenants or not. However, it does sound as though you will have to come up with better reasons for eviction than any odors you have detected...that they, of course, can easily deny. If your tenants are basically good, quiet, non-troublemakers with only the occasional "odor-problem," you might consider keeping them. On the other hand, if their behavior is such that an arrest on your property is likely; you could be held liable. See the norml site below to learn the laws in your state.

Not alot. Its not physically addicting. It doesn't cause cancer. It hasn't been proven to kill brain cells (unlike drinking on the weekends which can shrink the hippocampus of the brain by 20%) It doesn't make you lazy - that's an excuse. It might make your breath stink, nothing a little brushing cant fix. It temporarily slows down reaction time, but again, not a problem unless your driving. It temporarily increases your white blood cells (that fight off infection). It speeds everything up in your body, which is why your heart beats faster, you digest quicker (giving you the munchies). It aids to paranoia in Already paranoia prone individuals. You can't donate blood. It is bad for your lungs, just like smoking Anything is. It does slightly temporarily decrease male fertility. The swimmers are so worked up, they swim like hell to the egg but get tired before fertilization. Still, its not a big deal. Many marijuana smokers are able to conceive. You are only high temporarily. Its it not a long lasting effect unlike other real drugs or even alcohol. There is no such thing as looking high on marijuana or weeks, or even days at a time. Try a few hours, at most. The HTC does stay in your pee, and longer in your blood. Its impossible to over dose on marijuana If your a daily smoker and suddenly stop, when you stop smoking, it can be hard to fall asleep at night. After a few days, this isn't a problem either. The really only concern, is that its illegal. Why? Who knows. Its less damaging and addicting the alcohol. None the less, its poses a problem.

There Is Only One Problem With Smoking In The House And It Would Be A Fire Hazard, Like If Fire Embers Come Off And Start A Fire. It Shouldn't Happen And I Wouldn't Worry About Them Smoking In The Basement I Can't Why It Would Pose Health Issuses. I Say Let Them Smoke... Maybe Even Join Them From Time To Time.

no. as with cigerrettes the nicotine will stain the wall and they have a lot of toxins in the cig's that cause the cancer. Pot is natural and don't have all the toxins that the cig's do. It should not have any effects with the home insurance. The way I see it. you get so many people in one room and they are drunk then you get so many people in a room and they are stoned which one do you think will end up in a fight first. The drunks.
If it is a problem with you then just ask them when they smoke then to smoke it outside. Don't accuse them of smoking pot just say smoking.

Well, better marijuana smokers, than cigarette smokers. Cigarette smokers will smoke much more frequently than marijuana smokers, and the smell permeates everything....for a really long time. Marijuana will not leave a long-lasting smell. Besides, we're peaceful people. Give 'em a chance. Your future tenants could be much worse.

No dude, it won't harm future tenants or linger for long periods of time. And no, it will never ever affect your home owners insurance. You better be grateful you have good tenants and leave it at that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fire hazard... and the walls sort of have a dingy yellow color (but this can occur with cigarette smoking too)
