First of all, you must have been quite a student to move up from the ESL class to the regular class in one semester. Good for you 8th grader.
My first suggestion would be to write your paper maybe three or four days before it is due. Then ask your English teacher to read it over with you. Then re-write it with the English teacher's suggestions. THEN turn it in to your drama and dance teacher.
Now, here are some of the educational classes a reporter needs.
Journalism classes
Creative writing classes
Media classes such as:
--Media and the law
--Media and public policy
United States History
Here are some skills that a reporter needs that are also skills needed by any thesbian;
The skill of understanding how to do one's hair and make-up (only really top-notch, well known, television reporters on major nnetworks have stylists and make-up artists. The local reporters aon the smaller stations may have to do their own hair and make-up)
Speaking skills such as elocution and enunciation.
Investigative reporters might go undercover, pretending to be someone they are not in order to get inside information on a story. In that case, they need to know how to act just like any actor or actress.
Both reporters and thesbians have to have an ability to connect with their "audience". In the case of the reporter the "audience" is the person who they are interviewing. The reporter needs to establish a connection with the interviewee so that the interviewee will open up to the reporter.
I hope this helps and good luck.

ESL = english as a second language, so give her a break.
A reporter would use drama skills for reading and speaking fluidly at the same time.
Improvisation skills for speaking in front of the camera live.
Speech skills for losing any local accent.
Break a leg!

getting back to your question, rent movies about "reporters" to learn how they cat, you'll learn alot from obseving them, or watch the news.
Good luck w/your project and dont let these people tease you,
learning a language is hard and you're doing a fine job for an 8th
grader!

Reporter may or may not have to go to college, it really depends on employer. He/she must posess strong language skills one way or another. Drama helps you to develop strong language skills.
Here is a fun movie about ESL language skills (if you get the joke - your English is good, ignore people laughing at your typo)

I think you mean 'guys' not gays.
Reporters use skills learned in Drama by being comfortable talking to many people, thinking on their feet (handling a situation well, no matter what) and speaking clearly.
Hope this helps, good luck.

Chiquita with a mistake like that you may as well not even attempt it all. I give you a Z- for your question

You need to either learn how to type, spell or use spell check. Are you really looking for help from gays or did you mean to say guys? There is a big different.

What, you think only gay men act or are in drama? That's far from the truth, that is.
