The White Sox have some must win games in the next three weeks. They have 3 left with Detroit and, most importantly, three left with Minnesota, so they are "captains of their own fate." They can sweep Minnesota and clinch the wild card if they don't lose any ground in the mean time. But they have a series with the Angels and the Athletics, both tough teams, as well as the Mariners who are highly competitive at home for reasons no one can fathom. Also 7 left with the Indians. But the most important for the White Sox, they have to take the Twins series without losing ground.

Ozzie Guillen drained all of his pitchers last year. Almost every pitcher was among the top 10 in innings pitched last year. They won the world series and it was because of the pitching but they should have used their bullpen more last year. The White Sox need their pitching staff to catch a second wind because they are tired.
