Very bad cramping...double over type pain!! Bleeding heavy dark red! I've had a few in my life and believe me if you were miscarrying..You'd know it!! Just relax...lay down and if you're having the above problems..I'd go to the ER~

I started out spotting for a day then the following day the bleeding got heavier i used 3 pads and then left to the ER, Doctors said they could not do anything for me I then started getting really really bad cramps, the doctors gave me morphine for the pain and then i started passing a lot of blood cloths the bleeding and passing blood cloths was uncontrollable for about an hour and then the bleeding was very little. Then the doctor said that during that hour of uncontrollable bleeding is when the miscarriage happened. But because i was only 8 weeks pregnant the embryo of fetus was so small it was probably covered by a blood cloth. The feeling is aweful i felt empty and couldn't help but blame my self for what had happened, luckily my husband and kids pulled me out of my depression. I hope you don't go thru it but if you do just remember that things happen for a reason and maybe the baby had some abnormalities and he wouldn't have the perfect life we would want for him/her. All things happen for a reason always remember that, God never makes a mistake. God bless you and your baby:)

Have you ever gone thru labor? it feels the same way.. Your lower back starts hurting. You might start bleeding lightly, and it might get heavier as it progresses. The pain will get worse and will turn in to contractions. They will get closer and closer to each other until the embryo is expelled from your body. The afterbirth will come out shortly after. you will have to have a D&C to make sure nothing stays inside of you.....Its a very....unique feeling. I had a miscarriage about 17 years ago and I was only 3 weeks along. Hope you are not going thru this :O(

the first sign is you might have spotting . Also, unlike the cramping you get in your ovaries, it felt to me like that deep pain in the lowest part of your back.It actually felt like something "dropped",and then yeah, you would KNOW! I've read that most women will have at least one in her life, but if you are not very far along, you may just think it was a very heavy and crampy ,painful period.( i've had 3, but one had to have a D&C ,because not everything came out, and the doctor said I could get blood poisoning. Take care of yourself. I thought I was going to have a fourth, ...spotting started, but doctor made me get in bed and stay there for 24 hrs. and it worked!!! That child is 7 yrs. old now!)

Bleeding is your first sign, if you are not cramping.

Pay attention to the answer about a possible tubal pregnancy. if the pain gets to be more than a bad menstral cramp, go right in.

Bless your heart. If you are miscarrying, you will hear how "common" or "normal" it is early in a pregnancy. But, it's not "common" or "normal" FOR YOU!

It can be an emotional roller coaster--go easy on yourself--it will be the most private pain of your life.

sometimes it is a few cramps depending on how big the fetus is well actually its not even a fetus at 4 weeks i am just getting over 1 now very heavy period like symtoms at this stage and clots all women are different theres not one single woman the same so it may be your uterus trying to stretch and make more room unless you go to the dr you will not know.

Really REALLY bad cramps, I was bed ridden and couldn't move an inch. I felt a big blood clot come out and I knew that was it. Just remember your not the only one going through this and everything happens for a reason.

Hi, and I hope you are ok. I have had two miscarriages and there is a lot of cramping involved. You are basically having contractions trying to pass the baby. Please go and see your doctor, or go to the E.R.
They might have to do a DNC, or maybe you have already had the miscarriage. Please take care of yourself and seek medical help.
