I mean Natascha Kampusch, an 18 year old girl from Austria who was kidnapped 10 years ago and kept in a basement for 10 years until she escaped a few weeks ago.
She just seems too normal to me. Considering she hasn't been to school in 10 years and she's only ever had contact with her captor, don't you think she should be a lot more messed up than she actually is? Shouldn't she be scared of all this media attention and everything? What's going on? Is she just an amazingly strong person, or do you think she'll eventually crack and lose it or something?

It'll hit her when she gets older or in coping with stress in her life. There has to be security problems in her pscyche with what she went through. I hope she gets close with her parents again and feels genuine love from those who care about her.

No, I don't think she is coping well. She is probably medicated for one thing. Next, her heritage being Austrian is a more reserved sensibility (I am of Austrian heritage), so she is not going to dish like she is on Entertainment TV.

i think of that certainly one of her daughters have been given ill so the daddy allowed her to bypass to the well-being center. Then the well-being center mandatory the Austrian female for scientific references. She phoned the police while she went to the lavatory. a minimum of that's what my pal informed me...

Unless you are exposed to this girl personally and outside of media attention you would have no real idea of how well she is coping.

Duh! What have you been reading, she has virtually isolated herself from people, only having contact with doctors and psychistatrists and limited contact with her family.
No, she is not doing well. She has just developed some excellent coping skills.

But she is emotionally scarred, stunted and broken on this inside.
