I need to know who actually cares that pluto is now a dwarf planet.

The lady that is in her 80's now that discovered pluto originally and named it as a PLANET. Also anyone that has to rewrite all the text books saying that it is now a dwarf planet instead... other than that probably not too many peeps

Not I. I agree that it should not meet the criteria to be an actual planet, as the other 8 planets behave differently. Also, if Pluto is included, there are several others (perhaps more) that would also have to be called planets.

i have been waiting for this since i was about twelve. i feel somewhat satisfied. this was the right thing to do, believe me. i don't understand why so many are having such a problem with this. this just corrects the mistake of classifying pluto as a planet at the start.

I sure care!!! It ruins the whole memorization process of the planets. You can no longer use "My Very Educated Mother Just Showed Us Nine Planets" Because there are no longer nine and you can't just say nine and then stop!!! I mean, does it really make a difference, to keep it as a planet? I guess it's not that big of a deal but it makes memorizing them less fun.

I do because what will I say to my kids when they say mom how was pluto a planet when you was in school but now it is just a atom. Oh well Kids Pluto become mentally challenged
