According to the Gospel, God was already in existence in the beginning. According to Genesis, it was God who created the heavens (the rest of the universe) and the earth.
Since God created the universe, He also created space-time. Prior to the creation of space-time, the concept of "before" becomes irrelevant because there was not existance of time as we understand it.Therefore, He always existed and did not "come from" anywhere.
It is my personal view that the "formless earth" mentioned in the scripture is the universe prior to the big bang. And when God said, "Let there be light", that was the command which created the big bang. For a brief period of time following the big bang, the entire universe was light energy, some of which eventually condensed into matter (A reverse applciation of E=mc^2). At least that is my interpretation.
The lack of proof that something exists, is not proof that something does not exist.
God's Word asks the people to beleive in Him on faith. When proof is present, there can be no faith, ergo, God does not provide proof of His existence.

this would be two separate questions.
Biblical answer: God has always been there, and so it would follow that He created the particles (earth, stars etc) that we know today.
Evolution (billions of years) answer: hard to say, since you are absolutely right, no-one was there to witness it and therefore where DID the particles come from - not to mention the energy it would have taken to gather the particles, squash em down and explode them out again
It's a mystery for sure.

The idea of a God who was always, in eternity of time, everywhere (ubiquitous), is a sort of postulate.
God is the exception to the rule that everything has a cause, or origin. God is His/Her own Origin. Sort of paradoxical, isn't it?
Of course, you could choose not to believe in this. But I find that choice rather limiting. Why limit yourself? Free your mind, and be amazed at where you can go.

These questions perplexed me for a long time until I resolved the question down to ... Either matter/energy has always existed or God has. My studies and experience cannot accept that matter/energy has always existed and I must conclude that God has.
I don't like the means of coming to my belief in God ( by elimination ) but it works for me.

God had no beginning. He always was and He will have no end--and so, there was always something.
In reference to the Big Bang theory, the scientists are talking about our solar system. Our solar system is part of the Milky Way and the Milky Way is not the only system out there.

No one knows, but what we do know is that God doesn't explain anything. You cannot even prove God exists so it is sort of silly to ask where something came from that you cannot prove exists.
Better to try to understand things without bringing a wish list along.

there was something before the Big Bang. All the somethings in the world were condensed into a singularity. Then ,for whatever reason,it suddenly expanded into an almost infinite size in jsut a few seconds.

God has always existed. He had no beginning and He has no end. There was no big bang. God spoke the world and all things on it into existence.
