I was looking for a b'day present in the "tween girls" clothing dept for my cousin. I can't believe I saw bras in size 34B and 36B in the tween girls dept! There are even padded, underwire and strapless ones! They are totally like adult bras! I thought girls don't usually wear real bras till they are about 15? Aren't tween girls supposed to wear cartoon bras instead of adult-looking bras?

They are supposed to wear bras that work. And that is not a good present to buy a cousin.

I started wearing a bra in 3rd grade I am in 6th now and I wear34 now. Remember everyone is different. I am wearing a strapless bra right now because I have a tank on and I don't want all those straps.

Well usually girls start wearing bras when their breasts start showing through their shirts. Dont get the padded ones (as you already know). lets me the world natural!

ya anyways you should just go to limited too and get her a gift certificate. bras for tween girls just isnt a great birthday present that they would want to open in front of people (but thats in my opinion)

i started to wear a bra in 4th grade but it wasnt padded and didnt have a wire. i started to use one with and under wire and padding in the end of 5th grade. my boobs started to grow like two years before i got my period. so oh well. i guess some people start really early. some people (smart people) sre saying that in this generation girls are getting their periods early so that may be why there are those sizes in tweens.

anyways, i started wearing bras when i was 12. some girls just need it earlier. the average is probably 11 to 13 years old.

Larger tween girls might need bigger more supportive ones. I think most girls start wearing real bras when they are about 14.

oh no, when a girl develops at an early age, they're gonna want support ya know. It's no big deal. I started wearing a "real" bra when I was 11 or 12...i doesn't matter how old you are; it matters how big you are.

Girls,nowadays, start wearing bras at around age 8! A friend of mine (i'm 13)is a C! Its actually kind of sad. Kids are growing up too fast. And a lot of them, including myself, shop at Victorias Secret and wear thongs.
