It sounds like you have a cold or sinus problems. That would explain why you feel sick and feverish, as well as the sore throat, earaches, and cough. Before you start your period, you may have no signs at all; you may also have a backache, cramping, sore breasts, and feel irritable. If you think you may start soon, you should carry a tampon or pad, just in case. Most people can participate in normal activities while on their period. Exercise is actually a benefit for some. Just relax the best you can. The only real thing you can do is be prepared.

Can you get one of your parents to write you a note to get you excused from gym? That way, if you are still feeling sick you can get out of it. You can get in the habit of always keeping a tampon around just in case your period comes early. People have different normal body temperatures. 98.7 is normal for most people. For most people, 99 would be a fever, but for some people it could be normal. 100 would almost certainly be a fever. Some warning signs of your period - you might start feeling bloated, retaining water, breasts may get tender, skin may get oily, change in appetite... over time you will learn what the signs are for your own body. Everyone is different.

Every woman or young lady has a different balance in what their body does. Your body may or may not be changing but with mine it did. I once went for almost a year with out having one (it was great) and I'm 29 and this happened in 1998. So, unless your sexually active, don't worry too much but if this continues, consult your physician. A fever 100.5 degrees F or above is considered a fever. With your temp, it varies with everyone but usually goes around 98.6 degrees F. Periods also vary, from sensitivity in the breasts (me) to abdominal pain.

PMS has been known by women for many many years. However, within the past 30 or so years, pharmaceutical companies have targeted and created a market to treat this normal part of a woman's cycle as a disease. These companies then benefit from the sale of drugs and treatments.

Premenstrual syndrome refers to the collection of symptoms or sensations women experience as a result of high hormone levels before, and sometimes during, their periods.

One type of PMS is characterized by anxiety, irritability and mood swings. These feelings are usually relieved with the onset of bleeding. Most likely, this type relates to the balance between estrogen and progesterone. If estrogen predominates, anxiety occurs. If there's more progesterone, depression may be a complaint.

Sugar craving, fatigue and headaches signify a different type of PMS. In addition to sugar, women may crave chocolate, white bread, white rice, pastries, and noodles. These food cravings may be caused by the increased responsiveness to insulin related to increased hormone levels before menstruation. In this circumstance, women may experience symptoms of low blood sugar; their brains are signaling a need for fuel. A consistent diet that includes complex carbohydrates will provide a steady flow of energy to the brain and counter the ups and downs of blood sugar variations.

98.7 is considered normal... as you know periods bring up the temp in your body, but if you have gym tomorrow I would bring a pad or tampon just in case, but if you are normal and don't stress you should be fine
