i left work a 4.45 today that was 15 mins early but how differant would my life be if i did leave at 5 ???

Possibly, quite different...
Everything you do affects your path through life. If you left at 4:50, you might have been killed in a car wreck, if you left 5:00, you might have picked up a winning lottery ticket that was blowing down the street. Who knows, time is a crazy thing.

If you left at 4:45, and that was 15 minutes earlier than you normally leave. You will have 15 minutes of unfinished work to do in the morning. I would get to work 15 minutes earlier to finish or you will be way behind.

You would not have caught the missus in bed with the postman (they come very late where I live,) and not have been on you way to the divorce courts by now.
