Just be honest and tell them that you don't have any romantic feelings for them and you don't want to lead them on or have them think that something might happen. Tell them you don't mind being friends, but thats it.

Tell him about how you really like other boys a whole lot. This is indirect and he may not get the hint. Try to hook him up with another girl.

Do what all women do and drop the "You're a nice guy but..." And do something! Don't ignore the guy and hope he gets the hint that is disrespectful.

if you want to tell him the truth and not beat around the bush: "I don't like you like that, sorry." (if it's a dating/relationship type deal) or "you've been (blah blah blah insert reasons why you don't like him) lately You're pretty much a (insert name here)" (if it's a friendshippy thing and he's a douchebag.

just tell him that you like him as a friend but not as a boy friend. tell him he is nice looking but not your type.
