Reading your question make me hurt - sinus trouble can be so painful and I feel for anyone who suffers from it. A few suggestions to help out:
1. Try some over-the-counter sinus medication first
2. In conjucntion with that, drink alot of water - more than your
daily 8 cups. You need more water for sinus trouble and
drinking plenty (above what is considered normal).
3. If your sinuses continue to give you trouble make an
appointment to see your physician. You may have a sinus
infection and you'll need antibiotics to clear that.
4. I have also heard that a warm water/salt solution in a spray
bottle helps (although I have not tried this). A couple squirts
up each nostril.
Good luck to you and I hope the sinus troubles fade and go away completely for you.

For sinus pain and pressure I would try nasal douching. Use either a commercial saline nasal spray or mix some up on your own with salt and warm water. If you make your own, pour it into a large bowl and put your nose in the water and inhale gently to take the solution into your nasal cavities. Blow water out in a tissue or into the sink. DO NOT blow it back into your bowl.
Try siting in a steamy bathroom to loosen up congestion also. After that, put some Vicks VapoRub on your chest (or another similar product containing mentholated vapors). That should help. By the way, the salt water should help to clear up even an infection. If you don't receive results within a couple of days, go and see a doctor to make sure you don't need treatment for an infection.
I use this technique and have noticed a great reduction in my need to go to the doctor for sinus infections. Hope it helps.

The best thing for me is guaifenesin. It's marketed under the lovely name of Mucinex (sp?), but Walgreens has their own Mucus Relief.
You might be looking for homeopathic things - I'll have to keep an eye on your answers. But for me, Claritin and the others haven't worked. What I take used to be a prescription, but it's over the counter now.

Sinupret is recommended by The Pill Book Guide to Natural Medicines. I also recommend you read the chapters on enhancing immunity in the Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine.
