climate is the weather in some location averaged over some long period of time.

Weather is temporary. You can say today the weather is cold.
But Climate of a particular place is something that doesnt change. Means u cant say today the 'climate' is cold. Climate doesnt change.

Example : The part of the Earth's surface between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn; characterized by a hot "climate". but on some day its 'weather' can be pleasant.
