It depends on how close I am to the person asking. If I am not so close then I'll always say I'm fine, regardless of how I'm doing.

I usually lie & say "fine". What I would really like to do is describe a long list of horrible and disgusting symptoms that would suggest a highly contagious and socially unacceptable disease.
Just to see the look on their face.

Usually I say "fine" becuase no one who asks me that question actually gives a crap if I am fine or not anyway.

If it's a close friend, if I feel like divulging I'll tell them how I really feel; anybody else I'll say "Fine."

I will always say "fine" whether I am or not. I don't ever tell them otherwise.

I tell them in detail (example: I feel quite bit on the lazy said and quite AWESOME LIKE TOALLY !!) Ok that was a joke But i tell ppl how i feel truely i'm a outspoken person.

if im talking to one of my best buds, then i would really tell them, but if it is like a teacher or someone like that then i would prob just say fine.
