I am looking for a job that I can make some money off of. Not surveys or anything like that. I have found Avon and Ameriplan. Ameriplan sounds good, but not great. Avon is something I have seen people make money off of, but there are already plenty of women doing the Avon selling. I would like to hear from people who are selling either of these products to help me make my descison. You don't have to sell both. Any input would be great!

I dont know what AmeriPlan is so I cannot compare them for you.

Choose whichever business suits your lifestyle and don't worry so much about having competition. Just because there are people doing the Avon thing should not discourage you... go for new customers, not theirs. It's YOUR business so you can run it the way you want to. Just because someone sells Avon or Tupperware or whatever doesn't mean they are good at it. You may end up with customers flocking to you because the Reps are so busy recruiting new people that they are not servicing the customers needs??? Maybe those reps cannot be reached to place orders? Maybe those reps don't get catalogs out timely enough? You can be different just by being yourself.

Why not think about Mary Kay? Now you can team your marketing expenses with one of those successful Avon reps... work together instead of against each other.

Develop your own target market. If your office is bombarded with Avon reps, try the building next door. Plan events like make up for teens and host parties for the younger generation as slumber parties (parent permission only). Market Avon products to the transgendered community (transsexuals/transvestites). Your discretion is certainly of value. You will get out of your business, regardless which option you take, what you put into it.

Consider writing a book with makeup tips and sell the book as well as the make up products. Be different by being yourself.

An excellent book on marketing is by Nicholas E Bade called "Marketing Without Money." Check your local library for this great book that points to over 300 free or cheap ways to market your product or service.

You should do the research on what you think whats out better for you. In my opinion I would choose Ameriplan. I'm not going to try to sell you on the opportunity and tell you that you can make a lot of money, but the possibilty is there if you work at it. I pesonally have been doing Ameriplan for a couple of months and I think is great. I get paid in 72 hours after a sale and receive 20%-30% commisions on each sale. You also get a 6 month advanced commission as well. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. http://www.nationwidehomeincome.com

I sell Avon and have been making money off of it. I haven't had any problems with other Avon ladies. There are many of us but we don't step on each others feet. I sell a lot at my current job and in my apartment complex. I think is was a great choice. My up-line don't work at their day jobs any more. So you can make some really good money.
If you need any help or advice E-mail me.
Good luck

I work with 2 companies at home. I've done a lot of research and these are great. First, the best companies have consumable products so you will have reorders. Avon has that, but everyone has done Avon and the compensation plan isn't that great. Try the 2 below and let me know if you have questions.

The compensation plans are great and even though they are both very different, they both have consumable products and good reputations.

I have sold Avon and you do not make any $$$. They send you What's new books in which yhou will buy demos at discount, you wind up spending all your profits on items that you want.

They do this intentionally so you spend all your money with them. I am not sure about Ameriplan though. Do you know bookkeeping? You could start your own bookkeeping biz??

If you want to do a home party plan that you actually make good money off of try the company I work with. I do Lia Sophia Jewelry - what women doesn't like jewelry. We have high quality fashion jewelry that is guaranteed for life. There are no inventories to handle or keep on hand, no deliveries to make as they are handled by the company direct to the hostess, and no big/bulky/heavy items to carry around and show. I make a great income, have a flexible schedule that I work around my family life, earn trips, rewards, incentives and lots more. If this sounds like something you may be interested in looking into check out my site and then contact me with any questions or concerns. I would love to talk to you about it. http://www.liasophia.com/ringsandthings

I suppose Avon would be a good one to start with - they offer Mark - which is a great product to market to younger women. I used to use it (and I'm 24 - so even when I was 21 I did) the stuff is really affordable and it works really good. Why don't you host a Avon party? Good luck!

AVON, DOOR TO DOOR EVERY 2 WEEKS TO GET ORDERS, THEN BACK IN 2 WEEKS TRYING TO CATCH THEM AT HOME TO PAY FOR THEIR ORDER. I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT AMERIPLAN, IS IT INSURANCE? SOMETIMES JUST GETTING A 20 HOUR A WEEK PART TIME JOB IS EASIER.
