Rather than answer you directly, I think you should know something about how to research this yourself. You see, it totally depends on what sort of job, or more what skills you have, as well as what part of the state you are in. So for paper references, I would say the World Almanac or any competent almanac has income and employment figures broken down by state. Certainly the US Department of Labor has plenty of statistics. Put that in a search engine and see what you get. Or try California Department of Labor, but then you will want to compare that to other states, not just the one you live in.

Remember to look at cost of living statistics, too. A large salary does not look so big here in Central California, where the cost of living is so very high. In agricultural regions, or in certain parts of urban areas, the costs are considerably lower. But the salaries in ratio with cost of living is what you really want to look into.

Hi, if you have time, you can read this text and consider about that.

I have actually had some pretty nice results with this (you may want to check it out if you have time):

Go there, view the video, and it explains it all from there.
I can walk you through the process step by step if needed just to make sure you are successful. (Please keep in mind; this is NOT a get rich quick scheme.).
In my opinion, the best thing about this is that it doesn’t require a high startup investment. (Considering you can start for free).
I definitely recommend test driving it.
