heyy i ahev a hp 720c inkjet pritner and i want to connect it to my windows xp diemnsion e310 but thier is no?

bu thier is no port or area to connect the printer into the pc i went to stapels adn thier was a adapter which made is a usb but was $35 pretty expensive iw ould say for a little adapter like that, right? anyone else have another way to do this? and if i haev to buy that adapter where cna i get it cheaper?

I believe the only way is to buy that usb to parallel cable.because that can convert information to usb style.try ebay.com for cheaper one.
