Paris Hilton isn't famous. Half the world craps on her face.

i think radio was to blame in the beginning. music has been an amazing evolution, but most of it has not been known. way back in the stone age, when fm radio first came to be, the stations played everything, from the popular to the obscure. the only commercials were at the end of the programs, and it was usually the businesses that sponsored that program. just their names and that was it. when fm became commercialized, it ended up as it is today, which is not really good. all these great musicians got little or no exposure, and were the ones that inspired what we listen to today. but radio has to make money, so they sell out to not whats good, but what is popular. after a few decades of that, peoples taste in music change, and it goes from bad to worse in some cases. it would all be different if there wernt studios with effects, overdubs, and all the rest of the techno stuff. videos didnt hurt the untalented either. im not saying all new is bad, but with technology, you can create anything from anyone. at least thats my explanation of how it got to paris hilton. dammit man.

I blame the record companies for the decline in popular music and not enough support of veteran musicians and those who have the potential to become a future legend.

You hear the Paris Hiltons, Britneys, and Beyounces and they sound and act the same. Music should got back to being orignal again.

no longer all American women persons are like this. those women persons are rich and performance the means to do although they love to do. They curiously want drama and exhilaration. they don't imagine about the outcomes because they have assistants and different crew to take care of that for them. it is my guesstimate. If someone speaks out hostile to their habit then my wager is that someone is rapidly fired, no be counted what their objective is. i'm no longer wild yet I in no way felt repressed. My moms and dads were no longer overly strict. I had a delightful young children. possibly those are aspects why I in no way went by a wild section. there are various aspects of why some American women persons are wild. American women persons are diverse and an exciting crew.

That's an excellent question, because I honestly don't know where it went wrong over the decades. Let's face it: Over the years, society has gone from class to trash. Although I do admit there are some good songs out there from today, most of it is just mindless lyrics from talentless people, like Paris. Classic rock and oldies only sounds better and better to me every time I listen to it.

As Devo once sang-we're pinheads all (jocko homo)!
Actually, there was some rank sh*t passed off as music in each decade, and mongoloids of all kinds bought it! (think Culture Club,
some "big hair" bands, etc.) This jacked with the collective DNA, and the end result through mutation (de-volving) is Paris Hilton-a sure sign of approaching Armageddon, OR Elvis' return 'cause he can't stand this!!

Well you see, there is this phenomena in our dimension called "time."

As "time" passes, each generation embraces an icon that best represents the spirit of the times they are living in. Some eras are lucky and have true talent to emulate (Coltrane, Beatles) and some not so lucky and they are stuck with the joke of the week-someone who reflects the blatant sensationalizm, materilaism, and posing of their generation. If you want to change who the hot ticket of the day is- don't buy crappy music from pretend "stars". There are plenty of worthy and talented musicians to support today, young amazing people whose music will be around long after people have forgotten the crap that is rap and the rich kids playing rock star.

Because of MTV. MTV put a face on music. Period. Paris Hilton is a joke of a human being...who cares if she can sing? I certainly don't. But she'll sell a few albums. Because of IMAGE.

That's all that matters any more. It doesn't matter if you're talented - which explains Paris Hilton's existence in "music."

IT'S ALL ABOUT IMAGE. NOTHING MORE.
