Using the distributive property means taking the 2 that is in front of the expression in parentheses and multiplying by each term inside the parentheses, keeping the same signs between them.
2(a-3b+2c)=
2(a)-2(3b)+2(2c)=
2a-6b+4c
You can't simplify that one any further because there are no like terms (terms with the same variable).
A lot of parents have trouble with math. My kids were lucky, since I teach math, although they complain about me anyway.

In distribution, you multiply the variable outside of the parentheses with every variable inside of the parantheses. For this problem, you multiply 2 with every variable in the parentheses.
2(a-3b+2c)=
2 x a = 2a
2 x -3b = -6b
2 x 2c = 4c
so 2(a-3b+2c)= 2a-6b+4c.
A good method to remember this is to draw an arrow from the 2 to each variable.

Distributive property means multiply the thing outside the parentheses by each thing inside, so you get
2a - 6b + 4c
This cannot be simplified because these are all unlike terms (they have different variables)

you just multiply the terms inside the parenthesis with 2.
2(a - 3b + 2c)
2(a) - 2(3b) + 2(2c)
2a - 6b - 4c
you just 'distribute' the two to the terms in the parenthesis.

Multiply each expression by 2:
2(a-3b+2c)=
2(a)-2(3b)+2(2c)
I hope this helps.

The answer: 2a-6b+4c. When a number is next to an equation in paremphasis(), multiply each piece of what is in paramphasis by the number outside the paramphasis.

it is much less stressful to be certain in case you placed the single huge sort first.... (11)(y + 5) bear in techniques which you rather opt to distribute (pass out) the 11 to each component of the the rest expression (y+5). bear in techniques that each component of the expression gets to be expanded by making use of the 11. i might provide you greater, yet being a instructor, i might opt to be certain in case you should get it from this! i'm hoping this facilitates!

Just multiply everything in the parentheses by the number outside of it. In this case, it's 2. After you get that, you just add everything up, and get your answer, or simplify it as much as you can. Remember the pneumatic device and do the order of operations in this order. PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, [Multiply, Divide any order], [Add, Subtract any order]). Hope this helps.
