TORONTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are the most loyal and dedicated fans in the league!! We've been supporting our team proudly since forever!! And it doesn't matter if we have won the Cup for 40 years, we're still behind our team no matter what!! The playoffs were nothing without us hyping up the atmosphere. We're going to win the Cup one day!! GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!!

Let me say first of all I AM a Red Wings fan. To all those people that answered your question saying Wings fans---WRONG!!! Watch a game on tv. The first period and the third period the majority of the ice level seats are EMPTY!! The fans show up late and leave early, doesn't matter what the score is or how important the game is. It's that way almost every single regular season game. I have never figured out how they came to be called Hockeytown. A true fan would be there for the whole game, win or lose. I think Minnesota has the best fans. I believe they have sold out every home game since they have gotten a team this time around.

Montreal has the "real" hockey fans. Now as far as Toronto goes, there are Maple Leaf fans and then there are Hockey fans. So, I"d say Toronto have the stupidest fans. (I know I lived in the city for 18yrs and I don't live that far away now). Best crowd I'd say has to go to the Philadelphia fans of the 70's, in todays NHL, I'd say Calgary or Detroit.

unavoidably there is adverse comments, lots of it from Jets followers + sympathizers who, till Winterpeg have been given a team back no longer some time past felt that Bettman became into greater in touch approximately preserving the Coyotes in AZ rather than putting a team (back) in Canada the place, in any available city, there is greater of a fanbase. such as you, i'm in TX, albeit south of SA so I watch the needed Hockey League, between US cities with out an NHL team i think of Houston might have the skill to pull it off, as there is adequate inhabitants, $, and y'all have been effectual with the Aeros eh. Time will dictate if this ever will become actuality.

Edmonton. Second is Calgary. The Alberta fans are the craziest anywhere. I've lived in seven different hockey towns (Edmonton, Toronto, Detroit, Boston, New York, Buffalo, and now LA) and the fans in Edmonton would party in the streets all night any time the Oilers won. Even if it was just a regular game against some crappy team (Pittsburgh maybe?) the fans would just lose it.

I'm a Penguins fan and we have some really crazy fans dude. But I met a couple of Red Wing fans in Pittsburgh a few years back and I have to say they were real hardcore fans and loved their hockey team. They were really cool people to talk with to. Hope to see some Red Wing fans again soon at a game this year. They can really party it up.

Montreal Canadiens. The hockey mecca. Nothing even comes close. Best hockey fans and the winningest hockey team in history with 24 Stanley Cups.

I hate the Habs but I'll give the fans their due. It's a fun crowd who appreciate good hockey. Having said that, the best atmosphere I ever experienced at any game live was a NYI@NYR game.

Easy answer.

The Toronto Maple Leafs without a doubt.
I am serious. I am not just saying this because the Leafs are one of my teams (I am a Canucks fan). I think back to the 70's and 80's when the Leafs were a pathetic club always losing and obtaining the nickname the Make Me Laughs. Whether they are first or worst, they always sellout their games. While other Canadian franchises and other low market teams struggle financially, the Leafs never have to worry about relocating or folding because they have great fans that support their team no matter what. Most other teams have to be winning and in position to make the playoffs for their fans to support them and brag about them.

Go Canucks!
Go Leafs!

I believe Calgary has the best fans, having been playoff starved for 7 straight years, we still stuck by our team, and now we support them even more. Same goes for the crowd, the Sea Of Red, Need i say more?? Fans have tried to duplicate it in other cities and it just not as good.
