I've searched and searched, and found nothing.
However, I am certainly no lawyer, and know nothing of the laws of your state. Pick up the phone and call a lawyer tomorrow.
I do want you to know, that there may be laws against cohabitation in your state. I saw several references to it, however, it may have been repealed (most states have gotten rid of it). However, if it is there, and your ex wants to be a jerk, he could cause some problems for you. Good luck!
As of March 04, the law against cohabitation was still in effect, and enforced at their discretion.

No he is giving you crap. I was in your situation exactly. I moved in with my boyfriend and my daughter was 3.5. My ex couldn't deal with the fact that I was seeing someone new he started doing all kinds of crazy stuff. I got a PPO and a lawyer. I was going to move out of my home to an apartment and not tell the ex where I was but then my boyfriend wanted me to move in with him so I would be safe. So the ex tried to cause problems and the judge, courts and lawyers said that he had nothing because we had a stable home with sufficient room for a child and there was nothing he could do to just because I moved in with someone. It isn't against any law in Michigan as I have lived here all my life and have went through exactly what you are experiencing. I ended up marrying him (my boyfriend) sometime later but that was completely beside the point. The only thing that he could do was turn you in if your house was nasty or the boyfriend did drugs or something that could harm the child. That is the only basis that he could have to object to your living arrangements, my ex did this too when he couldn't force me to leave. He had nothing at all as far as proof. My husband has never done drugs and I believe that he has drank about 3 times in his life. Plus our house was almost brand new. He called CPS and they dismissed the case after coming to my home. The ex just tried to cause problems as yours is for you now. Good Luck to you and your child as I feel for you and your frustration.

That is not true. We live in a free country that does not discriminate against non-married couples. As long as the minor child is being taken care of and is not in any harm from the boyfriend, than you are free to have you and your child live with him. There isn't a court that is going to say other wise, If you are still concerned contact the friend of the court to answer your question.
Your ex just doesn't want to see another man get close to his child. He should have done right by you in the first place and then he wouldn't be waking up without his child everyday.
I have always told my ex that I do not understand how he couldn't have tried harder. I don't care if he thought that I was the ***** from hell. I would face the devil himself it it meant that I got to see my child everyday. Men always seem to want their exes and their children even after they walked away. Don't let him play games with you.
You obviously are in love or you wouldn't be bringing your child into the relationship. I think it is wonderful that your child will have a sense of family and belonging. When Mom's happy, everyone is happy. Good Luck!!

No, there is not any regulation that i'm conscious of in Canada, the united states, or the united kingdom that would limit sons and daughters from residing in residences no count what the floor is. there is, besides the indisputable fact that, in many places now a by-regulation that states there could desire to be a secured lock or fixture further to the abode windows to maintain toddlers from commencing off them totally and falling out. Is that what you have been searching for?

NO, I live in Ypsilanti, MI and I am living with my fiance` and my children aren't his they are 4 and 5 yrs. old we even lived together in ohio. Your ex is trying to trick your mind by being a dumb@ss. But you can consult an attorney or I don't know where at here you live but call the friend of the courts in the county you live and they can even tell you and direct you to any other services you may need.
Good Luck to you girl.

Your ex is trying to control your life. Don't let him. There probably is some old ancient law that says men and women can't live together unless they are married, but he is just being manipulative.

No, it's not illegal as long as the current boyfriend isn't enlisted as a child sex offender.
