x^3-8 = (x - 2)*(2*x + x^2 + 4)
where (2*x + x^2 + 4)
has roots of
- i*3^(1/2) - 1 and i*3^(1/2) - 1

x=-8/3 or x=8 depending on carriage returns.
Quadratic formula does not apply.
x cubed minus 8 = zero means x = 2

Gee..that's a tall order:

Divide (x^3-8) / (x-2) = x^2+2x+2

So far you got (x-2)(x^2+2x+2)

Completing the square you got,

(x^2+2x+1+1) = [(x+1)^2 + 1^2]

So, final answer: (x-2)[(x+1)^2 + 1^2]

Good luck
