Anybody know an element that was named after a cleaning compound, which was found to contain large quantities of it. Also three elements that were named after three planets.

Neptunium (named for the planet Neptune)
Plutonium (named after Pluto, having been discovered directly after neptunium)
and Mercury (associated with the planet Mercury)
As to the cleaning compound, I'm just guessing:
Hydrogen, as in hydrogen peroxide
OR
Phosphorus, used in detergents.
OR
Nitrogen, found in amonia.
OR
Chlorine is a powerful oxidant and is used in bleaching and disinfectants

Uranium, Plutonium, Neptunium.

No idea about the compound, sorry. I could guess at chlorine, but I don't know its history - try Wikipedia for elements.
