I also suffered from depression. If you're getting to the point where the tiredness sets in, then you need to get some help. I suggest speaking with a therapist. They can better judge what you need to help you. There are different kinds of depression. Some can be resolved with just counceling but some need medication to help it along. Mine needed both. I am now medication free and functioning fine. Sometimes we just need a little help. You can find a therapist on your own and make your own appointments. Just tell your dad that you need a ride to the doctors. He might be more likely to help if he doesn't have to do much. If he doesn't like the idea of you seeing a therapist, then sometimes they have them at school. That's where I started with weekly appointments. Good luck. Don't give up on getting help.

i understand how you feel my mom life is so messed up she never has money because of the drugs she stole money from me when i got my first job she leaves her youngest kids with my grandma and is gone for four to five days it hurts my feeling because i am now 21 and worried she will end up dead on the side of the road. I never can explain all the things i know about her and how i remember she did this stuff when i was little because she always want to fight with me. i moved out three years ago and the same things are still happening. i cry everynight and now i feel free i can talk about it to a friend of mind. so here is my advice before it is too late talk to somebody a friend and neighbor that you trust and i hope i was some help because i know the problems depression can bring. good think and don't ever fake happiness.

Stop trying to cover it up and pretend that everything is fine...Talk to a friend or if you're extremely private like me then call one of the 800 hotlines...they help with more than you'd think!! If you're feeling tired of your life make it different...YOU are the only one who can actually dictate how you live your life and what you do during your life even in a percieved crisis situation...Take control and do something about making your life a better journey...

You CAN'T cover it up. No matter what you do to try to pull your attention away from the way you are feeling it will still be there and eventually you will find yourself burned out on all the things you did and you will be overwhelmed and unable to escape. I know because it is where I am right now.

Please do not cover up depression, it will only get worse, I believe that you might want to talk to a mental health councillor.. If you have a public health dept.in your area contact them. if not go to a church or hospital and tell them you need help, They may not be able to change any thing at home but they will show you how to cope with the cause of your depression.. Best of luck

hello i am sorry that you are suffering from such a hard to deal with diease , something that can be treated.... its not a good thing to cover up your depression, you should find someone to talk to and deal with it, so that way you can understand the process of healing,,,, during the healing process you have to stay positve and decide that you are gonna beat this not letting it take over your life..... have faith that you are strong enough and the rest will fall into place...

Go to the dr. You don't want to cover up depression. it is a very serious disease that can be corrected. The longer you go on like this the worse you will feel.

You don't want to cover up depression, you want to treat it. If you are in school, maybe there is a school psychologist you can see?
