If a NARB makes it hard to move around and that's the only reason you find it annoying, switch from boxers to briefs. Aim your dick to high noon (or off to 1AM a bit in case you're long and it starts poking out the waistband) and you'll find that you can move again.

Other than that, not much you can or should do about it. It will pass.

Unfortunately that is part of being a 16 year old guy. You can try thinking of things that would never turn you on like your Mom and Dad or sad things like dead relative or pets and that may help the blood "change directions" since even though they were not caused by sexual thoughts something so non-sexual may help to eliminate them.

If they are still standing tall then stick with the old tricks and if you are at school carry your books in front of you or keep your shirt untucked.

Don't worry though, it won't last forever, probably only a few months of uncontrolled NARBS and you certainly aren't the only guy going through this in your school even though no one else talks about it, a lot of the other guys are having the same NARBS problem too.

You are a normal , healthy, teen boy. There is often a joke among women saying that control doesn't occur until about 25 and until then u can get an erection if the wind blows. I know it can be embarassing but it will pass. I have 3 sons. I tell them that if the erections are occurring regularly and their penis is going up and down then "DON'T Worry". If it goes up and Never goes down= this is a problem. If it never goes up= this is a problem and we will seek medical assistance. As for the self-gratification well... That is a habit that can be hard to break and u may find urself doing that alot more than u would like to. Try getting involved in physical activity such as team sports or weight lifting or something that can take ur mind off of ur center appendage.

Masturbation is good for your reproductive system and you should do it so don't stop. In fact if you can masturbate in the morning it might help a little. You are in the stage of puberty where this happens and it just part of being a male. Many old guys like me wish we could be 16 again. So don't be ashamed of your manhood It is what it is and it is part of you. Since you are rather large you may want to take to wearing clothes that will allow you to be more modest, carry books in a stratigic place when needed or for a year wear a supporter that will keep everything contained. I am also writing on why these occur. so this may be long but read on.
Okay I will try and explain how erections happen but you will be most amazed by the fact that most of the time (at least in young men ) we don't do anything. Also, you will have to put up with a long explanation. In order to have sex a male penis must be erect. That erection is related to physical health, mental health, and emotional health (ego) If a male is threatened or scared or has anxiety about sex he may not be able to get erect. Erections occur when more blood is pumped into the special tissue in the penis than can leave. The arteries carry blood to the penis and the veins carry blood away from the penis. When the brain gives the command the arteries dilate (become very large) and more blood is pumped into the penis than can be carried away by the smaller veins. The result is the penis becomes engourged with blood and becomes erect. When erect it becomes more sensitive and sexual arousal is easier. The following things will trigger the command in the brain so that an erection occurs. Physical stimulation (the boy or other person touch and rubs the penis), visual stimulation (the boy sees a girl, a picture, or woman in a form of undress that triggers an erection) Males are genetically engineered to be set off by visual stimulations. This is one reason why most users of pornography are males. In childhood and early puberty (5 to 13) boys can get spontaneous erections. The brain just decides to trigger an erection. This is very embarrassing to boys because it happens at school, while at play, in front their girl friends, in the shower during PE. The boy does nothing to cause this it just happens really! Girls think boys are always horny and that is true for teen agers but boys don't do it the hormones do it to them. Mental stimulation, sometimes just thinking about a special girl or having masturbated last night etc. will stimulate an erection. Boys get no rest while they sleep either. While a boy sleeps at night he usually has up to 7 erections in his sleep. And if he has not masturbated for several days and is of the age to produce semen he may have an orgasm in his sleep ( a wet dream ) in which he shoots semen all over his PJ's or briefs and the bed sheets. It is usually a rather large amount. Then in the morning he wakes up with a very hard erection that is the result of pressure from a full urinary bladder on the veins in his penis. That has to be dealt with in some way so he can urinate. Erections are very much a part of a man's life. In our youth we do not do a lot to cause them they just happen. As we mature and enter puberty we learn to take charge of our sexuality and to control them to some degree but not totally. A man can cause an erection by physical stimulation, visual stimulation, sex play with a partner, or mental stimulation or fantasy. And most men use those things to get erections at private moments in order to masturbate in private and release all that sexual tension. When a man gets a partner then she helps release all the sexual tension and love making or having sex envolves physical, visual, and emotional stimulus.
Don't be embarrassed about it. If you get an erection at an inconvenient time. (teacher asks you to stand) politely excuse yourself. If the teacher makes an issue. Then state clearly but without shame. I really would rather not like to stand up at the moment. I have a random erection that is rather embarrassing. Believe me you won't be challenged again.

Masturbating doesn't matter at all. In fact, masturbation helps stop NARBS. This is normal. I used to get those all the time. They are annoying. I can remember when I got one just before giving an oral presentation and everyone was looking at it. I was so embarrassed. They will go away. Don't worry. ☺

Spontaneous erections or narbs as you call them happen in younger gentlemen around the 13 to 21 age group because you are going through puberty and your hormones are out of control. They can be embarrasing and uncomfortable but it is just your body trying to figure itself out.

a lot of teens who start pugerty have your problen...wait 2 months and if it does not calm down... see a doctor about it....if you get a raw or burning or itching feeling during the first month ...see a doctor and tell him/her about your problem...also if you masturbate every day ...stop it... and only do it every other day...the reason being in some cases people who do it every day when they are going through puberty can have erection problems in adulthood...the percentage is very low but y take changes

as a mother of 19 children 9 of which were boys i can tell you that this is as a matter of fact normal. some guys are just more likely to have it happen at odd moments. one of my boys actually had to carry around instant ice packs to sit in his lap in one of his classes because of a particularly hot girl that sat next to him. time and yes regular masturbation will help. it usually gets easier to manage with time

Hey, this is all part of growing up in life. And trust me, all boys go through the same thing. Most guys wouldn't worry about it.
Act as if nothing is wrong. (Even if you are pitching tent insde there) If you act as if nothing is wrong, no one else will worry either
