Every time I take it off of my start up items, it attaches itself back on when I open up the Yahoo IM. I would appreciate your help. Thanks.

while the messenger is running Go to the MESSENGER tab on the top, then click on PREFERENCES, then go to the GENERAL TAB and unclick that box that says start YAHOO MESSENGER WHEN WINDOWS STARTS. You can change your MSCONFIG a million times to not make it start but as long as that box is checked in the PREFERENCES/GENERAL TAB, it will automatically reinitiate the startup until you uncheck the box.

you have ot on automatic sign in...get rid of it and change it

go to task manager and disable it
