I'd be a manticore, of course. Manticores have the bodies of lions and the tails of scorpions. I love big cats and I'm a Scorpio. They use their scorpion tails to shoot poisonous spikes at their prey, making them powerful from afar as well as nearby. They come from the jungles of India, a country I would love to visit. Their name means "maneater" in Persian, which is fine with me, that way I could still be chivalrous, I wouldn't eat women or children, just the men. They do have reddish fur, though, and my fav color is blue. Maybe I could dye it. :-)

I would have to say dragon or demon.....in a dragon shape of course. Dragons tend to be very noble and powerful creatures and have been known to have superior brain power to the point of telepathy and empathy and loads of knowledge. Also dragons have been known to live through out the years to very old ages 400-500years minimum. So lets see great strength, massive size, being able to fly, Superior intellect....the only thing i would have to worry about is hunters but what mythological creature didn't.

For me the answer would have to be the European dragon. At least as it is represented in most folklore. In that area of folklore, the creature is strong, powerful, greatly versed in magic, possessed of incredible wisdom and knowledge and can live for centuries. Add to that Their ability to fly and to project fire, ice or other elemental power from their breath and their shape changing ability and it is understandable why this creature was considered to be the most opowerful of mythologicdal beasts.

first off i do not believe any of these creatures to be mythical, i think that at some point they existed...however that is a personell opinion of mine..

i would want to be a leprachaun...

you get a pot of gold, strong illusion magick, a long stemmed pipe that never runs out of tobacco,

countless days to mess with the heads of humans and trick them into running into trees and such,,,

you can let a few of them see you and then laugh as they try to explain what they have seen.

it would be a world of fun....

oh yeah and that whole granting wishes for people thing,,,

be careful what you wish for,,,,

Good question.....so many opportunities!
I guess in the end I would choose to be a Nephilim, perhaps even the son of Samlazaz! To be half man and half angel, and a giant at that. Plus it was a very interesting time for man then, would have liked to be there then.

Aho,
Fenix

I would be a centaur (top half woman/ bottom half horse) b/c they are wise (can see the future in the stars!) and beautiful, and it would be fun to gallop around through the forest all day and shoot my bow and arrow (but i'm a vegetarian, so i wouldn't need to kill anything- i'd just eat apples and grapes and stuff and be super happy b/c i wouldn't have to study boring old textbooks all day!).

I would be jesus, because according to christians,he can do anything which is way better than any other mythical creature. He can even make water into wine, which would be a rage at parties.

I would be a Phoenix also, they are my favorate. part bird, part lion, rising from the ashes ascending to the hevans. They show a type of rebirth through death. like winter to spring. rising above the old ways into a better reformed way sorta speak.

I would be a vampire because... vampires have a teleportation power, and shapeshifting as well. they also have great vision and hearing and smell (better than dogs 20X better). and also they have the ability to control minds and run really really fast... oh and the whole live for a really really really long time doesnt hurt either.
