A girlfriend of mine, and her husband and me all went to lunch together. Well he knows I'm single and a week later he was trying to fix me up with someone. She told me their good looking he said and nice. When I asked her what he told the guy about me she said I don't know probably that you're single and nice. Do you think her husband didn't say I was attractive to this guy. Or do you think she just didn't want to mention this? I mean if he thinks I'm ugly would he want to set me up with an attractive guy? Also anytime a guy has given me any kind of compliment she makes it out to be nothing. Like she'll say oh he thinks marissa's pretttty. I mean it's nice that they want to set me up but it more her husband I think. I'm just curious what peoples opinions would be on this. Why she didn't tell me if he said this to the guy or did he really say nothing about my looks to a guy who's never seen me? Or was it something bad?

Also the monday right after we all went to lunch maybe it was my imagination but she kept staring at me with a strange look. I had met him once before and he told her I was pretty. But we were at a bar and it was dark and he'd been drinking. So now I'm wondering if he said something bad about me?

You are way too paranoid for your own good. Obviously if the husband is setting you up he thinks you are attractive and nice - so stop reading more into this situation than you need to!

Don't worry about it. Sounds like you are insecure about your looks. If that is the case that the guy thinks your ugly, tell him eff off. You don't need that kind of bulls h i t just go on the date and stop worrying. Try to be more confident, 'cause it will show if your not and maybe then you are not ready to go out on a date. Let your date be the judge - hey this guy could be butt ugly who knows!!

Sounds like you are worrying over nothing, what difference does it mean what any of them said unless you are maybe attracted to him (the husband?). As long as they said what got the other guy interested it just doesn't matter. Petty. Maybe she could be jealous of you........have you given her reason to be!?!?

You are in charge of the situation. Instead of worrying about all these things, ask yourself if you want your friends to be your matchakers. If not, you should tell them so. If you say nothing, they will keep matching you up with guys. Everything else you are worrying about is really irrelavant to the situation.

If he thought you were ugly he wouldn't have set his friend up with you , or on the other hand wait till you see the guy , if he's a dog you know what he thinks of you .
