I think that Steve was a wonderful person and I am really upset that he is gone. I wish he wouldn't show his death on TV but they are. The reason they are is because Steve said that if he was to ever die while filming he wanted it to be on TV. I wish he wasn't dead. He was such a wonderful person who inspired a lot of people. No one could ever replace him.

My husband and i were both devestated when we found out. We've never met him but he really had a personality that made you feel like you knew him anyway. I would definately recommend a trip to his zoo in Beerwah. I've been to 3 zoo's and his is by far and away the best. I feel very sad for Terri and his kids. It's really tragic, but as his dad said, he would've prefered to die this way than being hit by a bus. He was a great man that did so much in a small time. R.I.P Steve.

I always thought he was cool. A bit crazy but always aces, you know? My husband is just like him, the way he loves animals and will jump into a bush after a snake or lizard.

I feel so bad for Terri and the kids. I would not be surprised to see his daughter take after him in the future.

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

it's a really sad thing. He truly loved what he did and it's a shame that he had to go the way he did. Hopefully when his kids are older, they'll realize what an awesome dad they had and hopefully they will carry on his message of wildlife conservation.
