My fiance and I started out super good friends and it developed in to a relationship. Now I have my lover and my best friend all rolled in to one. Guess I'm the lucky one.

It is a hard thing to go trough. the question is were you good friends before you became lovers? If you were it shouldnt be that hard to let go but if not sometimes no matter how hard u try u just cant do it. You have to examine yourself and see if there is no other feelings other than friendship try to make and effort if u just cant then u need to talk to him and let him know that you are friends but cant be like bestfriends that you are still hurt and you will need more time. Take your time in this otherwise you'll end uo getting more hurt and not healing as fast as u should! Good luck and take it easy. Love is a hard thing find but it will get there on its own time! It's possible. Hard to do & hard to find a person that can be civil after a brakeup, but it is possilbe. I have a good amount of Ex-girlfriends I talk to every now and then. I like being able to still be friends after a brakeup. We got along so fine during the realtionship, I can not see what is so hard about doing so after it is over. Unless your ex is crazy...then you can not do anything about that!!! LOL

oh trust me i know what its like i had a bf for three yrs we had broke up once and then we went and got back together and it just didn't work out, but first you have to tell me is do you still luv him cuz if you do then its hard but if you don't then what you need to do is end on even ground explain yourself tell him the stuff that you want like you don't want to know about his present relationships and you just wanna have a friend that you can talk to about anything and you want him to be able to talk to you. i think that it would make things easier on you and him.

I don't think that you can go from being lovers to friends, I don't believe in that.
