Why on the California side there's no humidity, though it's close to Pacific ocean?

California gets humid after thunder storms when the weather is hot.
During the spring there are days when it is humid, normally around the change of seasons from winter to spring, the sun "feels hotter". In the summer months we experience some humid days.

Because California is mostly desert in the southern half, San Francisco is very humid as well as the rest of the northern half.
