i really want to enter a chat room but can't seem to get into any of them,also do you need anything connected to my computer to talk,i would be happy to type or talk as i do have a microphone plugged into my computer.please help me get into a chat room to have contact to other computer people and meet some new friends.thankyou

Well, you can go to your Yahoo.com homepage and click on More Services and find Chat on there, and then click... Then you could select the Computers & Internet category, then select whichever area you wish to enter, and click on it.
Once you click on something like Computer Lobby, you can select a room to enter and, there ya go..

You will be hounded by every freak in the world. Yes, AOL has chatrooms. And sorry, but you have to use your little fingers to type.
Do not give your name out, do not give your address or phone number out to anyone. Do not tell people where you work. Do yourself a favor. Sell the friggin computer. Chatrooms are no good. NOthing but trouble.

Hi there, you need a headset with MIC so that you can use the voice chat and talk to other people or be heard.
Do you have a yahoo messenger? If you do, click on "MESSENGER" and then you will see a list, click on 'YAHOO CHAT" then "JOIN A ROOM". Just a pick a chat room and then you can start chatting.

well, you obviously need internet access, like a source.. aol, or icq, something like that. then you just need to find the link that says Chat, Chatrooms, Chat now.. things like that. Let me know what internet provider you're using, I can try and help as best as I can. And good for you for gettin connected!

yahoo has a chat that you can talk to people or if you have yahoo im you can do the same. msn also has one. if you have yahoo im you can invite that person if you now them to chat. hi new friend~~~
