Success is doing something productive that you love. Mother Teresa was a very successful person. So is Bill Gates. There's about a $50 Billion difference in their financial assets.

Of course, you have to have enough resources to survive while you are doing it.

depends how you define 'successful'. If you want to be happy in life and you have achieved that - then i'd say you are.
If all you ever wanted was lots of money and you've worked hard and got it - well then i'd say you are also successful....
