Love it -- have the Mini Cooper S Convertible. I got the car as my 2nd "fun" car, but it still gets OK gas mileage (my 5 year old Acura does better, can't beat the Japanese cars for fuel efficiency), has been very reliable, and is superb for stress relief, which I really need. It is a wonderful car, but you really have to be into the Mini way of thinking to own one. The car needs a bit of pampering. For a convertible, for instance, I renovated my garage so she could have a cat-free place to rest -- no rips on the roof at present!

The gas mileage is wonderful - I average around 30mpg in stop and go traffic.

I wanted a convertible - but glad I decided against it. Since the top can only be down on certain days (more here in the south) I noticed with the top us - I would have had very little visibility... The roll bars placed strangely over the backseat block almost the entire rear window.

It is a fun little car for going to the supermarket and local trips - I wouldn't want to take it on a long trip...just not comfortable as a "touring" car.

I don't particularly like it. The wife bought it; I don't need a car, since I rely on mass transit and a Vespa to get around.

For one thing, over time, I've become more aware of the MINI's tendancy to oversteer. For another, the styling does not 'age' well--it's like the joke that's funny at first, but ceases to be with successive retellings.

It gets about 27 mp/g, a little more if I do only highway driving. But it uses Premium gas, which, effectively, means it costs as much to fill up as a small SUV.

mileage is 29 on hyway, 24 city,,, unless i drive with a lead foot, lots of gear shifting, then it goes really low, I dint live close to a mini dealer so have BMW change oil at 50 a pop , lots more than 19.95 at oil change center.(they will not change oil because of aluminum oil pan) some one put regular gas into the car so now after paying 80 to find out why check engine lite is on and about 5 tanks the lite comes on when down below 1/4.
but fun factor is around 17.6 on a ten scale.
