A little San Francisco history for you...sometime in the 1970s, Dan White (a former CA supervisor) shot and killed Mayor George Moscone and another superviser Harvey Milk. His reason? He had just eaten a bunch of Twinkies and that's what made him do it! Hence, the Twinkie Defense.
