I just asked an Egyptian co-worker. Fiat has a factory in Egypt. Also Kia, Hyundai, Peugot, Renault, Honda, Mercedez and BMW are all popular cars there. The models are not always the ones we are familar with however but the manufacturer's are the same.
Tourists can still get rides on camels if they are interested.

They use planes, trains, automobiles, bicycles, and motorcycles. The same modes of transportaion we use here in America. They are modernized.
