I met a man recently and I felt like he was the one. I got a feeling when I first met him. There has been no dating, just getting together to talk while he works in his yard, and stuff like that. he will make comments that I think mean something, and he has even demonstrated that he is teasing me, but he never calls me. He is happy to see me, and we have a great time together, but I can't read his signals. When I am at his house he doesn't answer the phone if it rings, because he wants to give me his full attention. He has made several comments that lead me to believe he may be interested. I don't want to make a move and look like a fool. I am not looking for long term either, but a little romance would be great. Am I reading more into this? Does he just want friendship or more? I know I should just ask him but I don't want to ruin what we do have. Please advise. Thanks.

No, he is not gay. And yes he enjoys the company of women.

People are so mean on here sometimes! I just don't get it. Why bother?

I take it that this guy gives you the butterflies, huh? You know, if a girl made me feel the way that you are describing (love at first site), I could totally see myself acting just like this guy. Matter of fact, I bet I would. As the guy, I would totally have the same fears that you have for all the same reasons.

Just so you know, I am not a shy kid that has no experience with relationships. Matter of fact, I am a 28 year old, divorced, salesman.

Furthermore, I believe in love at first site. Matter of fact, if I had to describe it, I would describe it much like what you have described above. Although, I would hold off till after the relationship developed. I have been truely in love 3 times. Each time, I felt what you described above and apparently the girl did too.

You have to get close to this guy. Do you hug him whenever you first see him and as you are leaving? If not, you should. It is normal. If you do, kiss him on the cheek next time. No matter what, it wont be awkward. You just need to touch him more and be playful with him and see how he reacts.

I wish you the best.

Chances are you are reading somewhat more into it than there really is. Theres also the possibility that this guy doesnt feel the same way you do so be careful. Just keep on doing what youre doing and see what happens but dont dive headfirst or you might get hurt. You might try and push it along alittle but be prepared just in case hes just a big tease and dont ruin your friendship. Good luck

You title this question love at first site. Love is a powerful word, and if you just want to have a little romance, then it is not love at first site.
When you meet someone always be straight whether you/them are looking for a little fling or a relationship. That way, you both understand each other, and no hard feels come into play.
Search your heart and mind a see for yourself what you want. Good Luck!

Make your move, what is the worst that can happen ... he is gay and not interested in a woman romatically?

You are in the power position, use it to your advantage. Don't ever yield the right of way if you have it, it causes more problems then it can ever solve.

Since you don't want anything long-term, I would just relax and see what happens or basically just play it out and not analyze things.
