ask to talk with them about it . . and listen to their concerns about why they don't want you to go . . see if you can work on any of those concerns and come to a collaborative solution that meets both your needs.

Find the reason for their No. I mean do they want you out cause they fear drugs, or they just don't want you to go make out with some girl in the cornner? Just say something like " Mom ( or dad) I really want to go to this dance, and I just don't know why you are not letting me go it" Explain to them that there are chaperones all around the dance floor to prevent any thing bad for happening. Just basically get the messege across.

Now if the deal about you not going is because you have to go to some birthday party of a relative, or some kind of familiy thing, or you are just grounded, then don't push it. There will be other dances

Also you won't be the laughting stock of the whole school if you don't go. If they ask just say you were buisy that night.

good luck

hafta listen to your parents cause when sumthing bigger comes along u are gonna want their trust but it depends on why they said no also. try to get on their good side. explain the benefits and why you think you should get to go. if they still say no, it's not the end of the world you won't be laughed at, you could have had sumthing come up or could have been sick. not everyone will be there.

Sounds like you should stay home if you care about what your parents say. I think it's more important what your parents say than what your friends might think. Just be honest that you won't be going. Don't offer an explaination and don't worry about what others think.

Your parents said you can't go and you're asking us for advice? Don't go. You're just asking for trouble if you go.

Why did your parents say no? Is it something that can be negotiated? Is it something that you can fix so you can go next time?
