I think one of the most sincerest kisses I have ever recieved was when I went down to Ejido Nuevo Campeche Mexico and met my relatives the (Rain) Forest Indians who were displaced when their land was deforested in Mexico because they had no land rights. The girls in my family by marriage would come up hug me and kiss me on the cheek of my face for all the dolls, clothing and things I sent them. Many things were given to me, used, and not new but they are so poor they were so appreciative of everything I sent them and used it or gave it to the other poor people in the small town there. One woman they give things to is a woman missing a leg from infections that had to be amputated. Who loaned them money once when they needed it. She is very careful with her money and saves what her sons send her from where ever they are working in Mexico and the U.S. I wish the chlidren I give things to here in the US or in my family appreciated what I gave them so much. I have never felt so loved or cared about in my life as the hugs and kisses were sincere. I had been feeling badly that what I sent was not always perfect or new but they are so poor that what I sent them even if not contemporary or new often is better than what they have because often they have nothing. I saw children without clothing running around in the streets and children without toys whom I gave toys that I dragged down there in luggage.
