hi. i had an interview with a bank/mortgage broker today and more than half of me has a good feeling but then again, who knows right? id appreciate your opinion.. did i get the job? and please explain why. thanks in advance!

ok. i suited up, shook hands, and there were two out of three recruiters sitting with me. she asked what my goals were, my expectations within the company, my thoughts about the company, how long i expected to work (years), what i wanted to achieve within the company, base salary i expected, my first priority when a client walks in the door, what i taught others (others under me), if i was willing to travel, work saturdays when needed, and lots more. she told me what hours i would be working (if hired), approx pay i would be starting with, my main tasks, told me alot about the company and its goals, the benefits i would recieve, how long it would take for the benefits to play, etc.
she said she will call me on monday (after she consults with the main recruiter)

my answers IN ORDER of questions written above: goals- find a long-lasting career in a prestigious company such as yours. expectations: support/motivation from mentors. thoughts on company: was the best company so far (from past interviews). years: as long as it takes me. (said 5 hopefully more). what i want to achive: advance in position. salary: reasonable (and work my way up). priority: professionalism and knowledgability. taught others: professionalism and first impression (clients=#1). travel: love traveling. saturdays: if needed, of course.

that was just brief answers (due to the lack of typing space). one thing that i know impressed them was when i started telling them about my goals with my websites. (i am building two mortgage related websites to generate leads for myself). she said "wow you got alot of things going on" kinda laughin(?) the second recruiter didnt ask much, but i know liked what i was saying. at the end, she told me shes going to consult with the third.

Your answers seem pretty vague and come off like you're trying to schmooze too much. Yes, everyone wants a job with that company or they wouldn't be at the interview, so what can you say that every other candidate hasn't said? Your goal? To find a position that will allow you to use and challenge the skills you have so you can become an asset to the organization. You also believe you bring a number of good things with you such as a solid work ethic, your ability to be proactive and work with limited supervision. You'd like to achieve a reputaiton for turning in a great work product and providing top-notch service to the clients. You hope to gain this by learning all you can from your peers and mentors within the company.

It's a dance. I don't think you did badly, but I think if you are called for a second interview you could do better. And BY ALL MEANS get that thank-you letter in the mail pronto! You can even use it as an opportunity to say a few things you wish you had said while there.

I agree you get carry of a few effective alerts. income is often saved for late contained in the technique yet might want to be further up before. artwork schedules and highly reward frequently do not arise except they're fantastically severe about you. The exception to this can be a topic the position they interview many many people continually by using various openings to fill and better turnover, then they could run by all of it contained in the interview. besides the undeniable fact that shop in ideas the subsequent step may no longer be an provide yet a 2d interview, this time with the manager you may want to be reporting to. that is why contained in the destiny you need to continuously ask what next steps are or the position they're contained in the technique. On Monday, basically shop a favorable ideas-set and an open ideas once you get that call. If the decision would not come, wait an afternoon or 2 and call back. sturdy success.

It sounds like you probably had a good interview. I recently interviewed for a retail management position and the interview was almost an hour and forty five minutes. I felt it was going very well until I made the mistake of mentioning that I was enrolled in two college classes and that I have two children. Even though I feel that the classes or my children would not infringe on my job negatively, employers really want your focus to be fully on their business and the job they are hiring you for. One of the recruiters made a comment that you "had a lot going on", it may impact you negatively if they don't recognize your efforts as ambitious and an asset to the position.

I think you did ok. I do not know how you were dressed, ( I always looked at that). Your wrote your question in bad english / When I asked what salary was expected, I always hoped for a "joke" such as, " A few hundred thousand ? " follwed by a Ha,Ha. And left salary open / If we were interested in seeing that person again, then we would MENTION SALARY. Otherwise, not.
Good Luck.

I would hire you. However, I've been on interviews where I was sure I would be hired and never heard from them again. Who knows if someone's cousin twice removed wants that job too. But you didn't say if you have prior experience. It sounds as if your answers were good, so if you don't get that job, a better one is waiting. Good luck!!

Possibly the one who didn't ask many questions was with human resources. They may have restrictions on outside employment.
If you get called back for another interview, thats definitely a good sign. Then I would say you got the job.
good luck.
