What was your favorite episode? Mine was the recent one where that blonde stripper girl was COMPLETLY whacked out and her sister tried to give her food and they ended up getting in a fight.
How realistic do you you think it is? I think that they need to show a more accurate amount of people that stay clean and what happens to them when they don't.
I do applaude them for showing the ugly side of addiction in true form. It canbe a real eye opener to those unfamiliar with addiction.

I have started watching more out of morbid fascination than anything else. It is kind of like watching a car wreck...it is horrible, but you can't look away. I like to see the success stories of the addicts at the end, that is my favorite part. Seeing someone so completely at rock bottom like that is scary, but it should be. Those kinds of addictions are terrible and should be seen for what they really are, not how they are glammed up in movies,, TV, and music.
I think the worst one yet that I have seen was the chiropractor who lost his practice because of his habit, and agreed to go to treatment if he could keep using until it was time for his plane to leave. How desperate is that??!!

I've only watched it a few times, but I liked what I saw. So far, I've seen the episodes where a man has a video game addiction, a woman is fighting bulimia, and a woman fighting a cocaine addiction.
I'm not very sure about how realistic it is, but I agree that I does show a certain side of people that other shows don't offer. Maybe if they had some sort of "afterwards" episode designed to show how their doing after their intervention, it might be better.
Either way, it's engrossing, and pretty interesting to watch.

I don't love the show but is is interesting to watch. The episode I was into was the one where the girl was addicted to crack or something and at the intervention she just took off, but her male friend went chasing after her and she ended up slugging him but he wouldntleave her alone until she said she'd get help

I love this show. It's crazy to think that some people really do turn out this way.
