i'm considering wearing black leggings (with lace at the bottom) under a denim miniskirt, along with a turquoise wifebeater.
but i don't really want to wear it if it's too far out of style.
(i know, i know, "wear whatever you want if you like it" but i'd just like an exact answer to this question)
and i'm in the far-east part of NY, if that makes any difference :/

Wow..."Still" in? I haven't seen anyone wear something like that since 1980-something. And it wasn't a good idea then! I hope to heck it doesn't come back!

I honestly think black leggings with the denim mini is way over...and too many people are wearing it. Wear them separately, the style's too overdone. Try being more creative and stylish. Try checking out websites like shopbop.com for more ideas to wear with the black leggings. Like I said, that look was cool for like, two weeks. When you start seeing young girls in their preteens wearing it, it's time to start looking for bigger and better things (I'm just trying to help!). I don't know how old you are, but New Yorkers are usually pretty good at this, so I know it's in ya! : )

I think this is really funny. I remember being in 2nd grade and wearing a skirt with leggings. It was cool in 1988 and apparently it's cool now. I would not wear it though. I think it looks childish. No effence.

They are still hanging on there and different regions gain and lose styles fast....and New York is always the first to get the new styles and first to get rid of it...so I'm not sure.

If you must...
It's cool as long as the leggings aren't baggy...more like footless tights. Loose fitting leggings under skirts are as hideous as jeans under skirts (who the hell thought that was a good idea?)
...and in the spirit of ironic humor "wifebeater" is still cool :)

I see outfits like that in all the stores so I assume they're still in. I think, however, that you should drop the name "wifebeater" for your shirt and call it a tank or underwear.

Unfortunately, yes they are in style. They were also in style in the 80s and it looked goofy then too.

im reacently just moved from mass to tn but in both places still a hot item. personal i think its **** but go for it it looks cute on everyone. i just hate whats it style and out. i just wear what i want to

VERY IN. also if you like them, wear them. it doesnt always matter what is in our out, i mean you dont want to look outdated, but I think that they will be around for a while longer
