It really depends on what you're lying about and how long until the lies come out.

If you're lying about him/her being a lousy cook....then I'd say yes.

If you're lying about not being a closet homosexual, or that you have three kids to three other girls/guys.....then no.

If you have to lie to keep your relationship "happy" then what kind of relationship do you really have? If you have to lie to your partner then is this true love? Lies break the trust in a relationship and is the start of a relationship breakdown if discovered. One lie will deserve another to cover for the first and after a while the first lie becomes a mis belief in what was the lie to begin with.If because of lies you cant trust your partner then whats next with the trust gone?

Uhhh.....NO!!!!

Honesty is the most important thing in a relationship. It's okay to keep some secrets (Like about your past) but only if they don't effect the relationship in anyway.

No. Not at all. I think a relationship should be built on trust & honesty, if you keep things from someone, one day they will find out, & then everything that you have built, & have worked for, won't be worth anything anymore... You can't build love & happyness on lies...
